Hello! Our beloved Spencer was only with us for a short time. He was rescued with mange and starving. He had the sweetest nature. Meet Storm, one of our Golden Oldies. She is a senior dog who was abandoned by her previous owner. When Mungo came in, he was dirty, had matted, irritated skin, and had a serious injury on his back leg where bone was exposed. Today, he’s clean, his leg has healed, he’s been groomed and is looking magnificent. Mungo is an adorable, bouncy, joyous little guy who loves life! He’d make a wonderful pet. Hi everyone. Our volunteers come in to pet the cats, walk the dogs, help with feeding and cleaning, but also take the opportunity to do some of the more fun and unusual things like dog training. Little Diesel was rescued when he was only one week old. Thanks to his foster mom, he survived! When a prospective owner requested a Feline FIV test, he was diagnosed positive. Vets were reluctant to do it when he was so young as sometimes it can simply be that they are still carrying antibodies of [...] Our adorable George needs a loving and caring family! MIRACLE is our Pet Of The Week! Dasha is a pure bred female Border Collie who was found running around the streets of Durbanville. The vet estimates Dasha to be about 4 years old and is sterilized. She is very thin at the moment which tells the tale that she has been on the run for ages. The vet says that her [...] Leo is a magnificent, gentle and loving cat who was recently diagnosed with FIV. This virus affects up to 15% of cats and can be transmitted from mother to kitten, or through bites and scratches. FIV cannot be transmitted to dogs or humans. |
