SasaYoung female Pitbull. Owner couldn't afford to keep. Sasa was an IY resident and hasn't had the most comfortable life. She is shy and and will needs lots of TLC. Thankfully Pitbulls are resilient dogs, true survivors, and we're sure she'll bounce back in no time!
QuinnYoung male American Bulldog X. Adopted from DARG, sadly owner is emigrating in September. Quinn is looking for a new forever home. Here's some of what his current family had to say about him: "Quinn likes his back scratched and howls with excitement when you come home; he loves affection and will sleep almost anywhere except outside! :) Loves his walks, is playful and loves other dogs so much that he will do anything to get to them... He is so gentle and dislikes loud shouting. Very easy dog to live with, loves his hooves and bones!!"

Bula+-2yr old Bully X. Super clever and affectionate. Also very active and would be an excellent jogging / hiking companion. Bula has an awesome personality and is getting incredibly frustrated with kennel life. If you have a sense of humor and are looking for a fun buddy... this is the dog for you!
Barbie+-3yr old female Foxie X Collie. Owner couldn't keep. Friendly, playful, house trained, affectionate, good with children, good with other dogs. Would love a home where she can be walked regularly.
Steve+-7mth old male Africanis. Steve's been waiting for a very long time! He's totally awesome, super playful, super lovable, and suuuuper good looking!! Needs some basic training.
Zollie+-6yr old female Staffie X. Found - never claimed. Zollie is an absolute sweet heart! She is playful, well mannered, quiet, good with kids and other dogs. Deserves nothing but the best!
WillowWILLOW: +-1yr old female Africanis. Owner couldn't keep. Super active, super alert, super friendly. Willow would suit an active family willing to keep her physically and mentally stimulated. She doesn't do "being bored" very well.
WhisperYoung female Staffie X. Rescued after being hit by a car. Whisper is skinny and extremely shy. She needs a temporary foster home where she can heal and get lots of TLC so she can grow in confidence. But a forever home is fine too ;-)
Victoria+-3yr old female cross breed. Found - never claimed. Sweet, calm, loving.
Tyrone+-3yr old male cross breed. This boy came in skeletal and covered in mange. He was been at DARG for a few months now and is finally ready for a new home. His hair will take a very long time to grow back and he'd be better off waiting for it in his new home! Tyrone is a super cool dog, very friendly, affectionate and deserves a really loving home!!
ThandiMeet our latest abuse victim... This little girl was rescued with terrible wounds on her back, which have now been cleaned up. Now it's just a matter of time before she heals. She would be much better off in a foster home, think you can help?

RoxyYoung female Boerbul X. Abandoned by owners in Mitchell's Plain. Roxy is very friendly and loves going for walks. However the neglect she suffered in the past means she needs a very specific home. She would be best suited with owners experienced with the breed, without other pets and no small children. Preferably with people willing to work with her and give her with lots of exercise, TLC and respect!
Ronaldo+-2yr old male Africanis. Adopted a few months ago along with his buddy Pretzel. Returned after owner's circumstances changed. Ronaldo is a super affectionate boy, very alert and playful!

RobertaSenior female Staffie X. Adopted from DARG about two years ago, returned for not getting along with the other dogs in the home. Roberta is insanely friendly, affectionate, hugable, lovable, a total yummy girl! Desperate for another chance at a loving home...
Ridgeley+-4yr old male cross breed. Rescued after being hit with an axe on the head (see Before&After photo album). Ridgeley is insanely affectionate and very well mannered. He loves going for walks, getting treats and just being around you!

Onyx(aka. Rupert): 15mth old male Terrier X. Owner couldn't keep. Adopted from DARG as a puppy. Super loving, well mannered, clever little dude! A little confused about his new living quarters and would much rather be sleeping under someone's duvet.
Odette+-2yr old female Hound X Africanis. Found - never claimed. Super loving, energetic, clever. Needs active family.
Noble+-2yr old male Collie X Chow (as far as his purple tongue goes..). Found running with a broken chain around his neck. Overall good condition. If not claimed within 2 weeks, Noble will need a new home! Affectionate, playful, needs a little confidence.
MorganYoung female Africanis. Abandoned by owner. Super affectionate, gentle, sweet... Promises to be a loyal companion.
Louis+-8mth old male cross breed. Owner couldn't keep. Loving, friendly, a little shy at first. Needs TLC. Would prefer being in a home with at least one other dog as feels more confident that way.
Libby+-2yr old female Africanis. Found skinny and very scared. Libby is now getting 2 meals a day, getting lots of affection and is learning about all sorts of fun stuff like walkies and cuddles and treats! So far she has proven to be good with dogs, cats and even chickens! Ready to start her life as someone's forever companion...
Jamie+-6mth old male Lab X Alsation (with a ridge!). Playful, affectionate, bouncy, great personality! Ready to have oodles of fun with his new family!
Florinda+-8mth old female Africanis. Florinda came in as a puppy but she struggled with kennel life and it was affecting her behavior. She went home with Hilary and has been learning manners and getting socialized. She is totally wonderful and is ready to make someone a wonderful companion.
DingoYoung male GSD X. Seen wondering the streets for a while before being picked up. Dingo is a big boy and will be a strong powerful dog once he gains some weight. He is lovable, affectionate and quite active.

Aunty MaudSenior female Staffie X. Unwanted by owner. This is one loving lady who deserves to have a comfy retirement with a loving family. Good with other dogs, good with kids, just GOOD. Oh and she loves her walks and is quite strong!

TshalesaLook at mommy Tshalesa!! She is now sterilized, she has put on some weight, and she has turned into the sweetest thing on 4 legs! She melts at your feet, she's super playful with other dogs, she can be a little timid at first so will need patient owners. Tshalesa (which means "to run") is ready to start her life as a loved pet!

Kolinda+-1yr old female Africanis. This lucky girl was rescued from a ditch on the side of the road, suffering from biliary. After some intense vet care, she has made a full come back!! And in a big way! She is full of life, simply a joy to be around. Promises to be a wonderful family pet!
Sweetie+-3yr old female Africanis. Rescued with puppies (all homed!). Sweetie is... well, SWEET! She is gentle, loving, protective, has a good sense of humor and loves a good cuddle! This girl is easy to please and promises to be a loyal companion.
