Sorry, it seems there was a glitch in the way our server was working over the last few days (the glitch being that the server wasn’t working at all!)

Hopefully we have that all fixed up now and you should start seeing updates again in the next couple of days. Glad to have you all back!

Suffice it to say, I’ve been rushed off my feet over the last few weeks, learning the parenting ropes. We have a beautiful baby boy, and are finally getting back in to some semblance of normality.

So… Here, for your viewing pleasure, are all the adopted animals since I went AWOL. Thanks for your patience!

This gallery will contain the strays we are currently looking after. After fourteen days, we put the strays up for adoption, and they get moved to the regular adoption galleries.

Please try and regularly look at the Stray Gallery to see if there are any animals you know!

So if you haven’t been able to log-in, please go here. Put in the email address you used to register and click the Get New Password button. The new password will be mailed to you. Once you are logged-in using the new password, you can change it in your personal control panel.

The DARG Chatterbox!

You can now log-in using your DARG username and password and chat to each other, and to us right here on the DARG website!

Lost & Found notices can now be posted directly in the Lost & Found forum of the Chatterbox, so there is no delay and you can get news out as quickly as possible.

Please visit the Introduce Yourself forum and tell us a bit about yourself. There are many users registered to the DARG website, but we don’t know who you are! Log-in using your DARG username and password, and you’ll be up and running, ready to use the DARG forums.

Use the Personals forum to advertise animal related personals. Looking for a pet-sitter, selling a kennel, want to find a second-hand cat scratching post? Here’s where to do it!

Finally there’s the General Chat section, where you can talk about anything you like, as long as it’s suitable for the whole family.

We may add more forums as the need for them develops, but for now we’ll start small. Drop any suggestions for the Chatterbox, the website, or DARG in general in the Suggestion Box forum!

Please feel free to post whenever you like, but note that any non-animal related post outside General Chat will be deleted. Please keep language clean and friendly. We have children here.

Well, it’s upgrade time again! We’ve tidied up the look and feel of the site, and added some extra benefits under the hood. We got the galleries working properly again, so they now display the name of the animal beneath the photo.

We’ve also created an RSS news feed, allowing you to catch quick updates via your RSS newsreader. Or if that’s too complicated for you, click the By Email button up at the top right of this page to have an email sent to you whenever the site is updated!

The gallery software that we use on this website has been giving some hassles ever since the writer of the software updated it. One of the problems is that the photos no longer display captions underneath each picture. Another is that photos which have been marked to be excluded from the gallery (usually once an animal has been adopted) are still showing up in the gallery.

I’m working hard at solving all of these problems, so if you see some errors or glitches in the galleries over the next few days, please don’t email me about them. I know about them and am doing my best to get them sorted out. For those of you technically minded enough to wonder if I couldn’t just use the older gallery software – the answer is no. The older software is incompatible with the upgraded site.
