(Pro-active Education, Treatment and Sterilization) is hosting another of their famously fantastic pub quiz nights at Pirates in Hout Bay! Due to rising costs of sterilization, vaccinations and so on, we’ve been forced to increase the adoption fees we charge in order to cover our costs. Wow, those great folks over at the Beginner’s Guide WebTV show have done a really great feature on DARG! Please show them some love by viewing their YouTube stuff and maybe leave a comment or two letting them know what you think of the video. Yes, that’s right folks, it’s PETS-200 week here at DARG! Hi all Everyone please be very careful over the next week or so. Tonight is Halloween, November 5 is Guy Fawkes Night and idiot kids are going to be setting off fireworks all over the show. Please make preparations to lock your animals in at night or otherwise protect them from the noise which they don’t understand. On Saturday 25 October, DARG marched peacefully along the beachfront in Sea Point to protest certain changes in the animal ownership by-laws. Here’s how it went. We have applied for and been been granted permission to hold a peaceful parade on Saturday, 25th October 2008, in order to highlight DARG’s and other animal welfare organisations concerns with regards to certain aspects of the proposed new Animal By-laws, and have officially invited the Mayor of Cape Town to attend the event to [...] A big thanks to Casey, Kiara, Storm and Tanur from Rustenburg Girls Junior School. Also huge thanks to Joshua and Alex from SACS Boys Junior School for the great donation of dog food and treats! We have many animals that we are sheltering, and our priority is to find safe, loving families for them.
