When Mungo came in, he was dirty, had matted, irritated skin, and had a serious injury on his back leg where bone was exposed. Today, he’s clean, his leg has healed, he’s been groomed and is looking magnificent. Mungo is an adorable, bouncy, joyous little guy who loves life! He’d make a wonderful pet. This sweet, delicate, gentle, affectionate, hugable, kissable and quiet beauty is desperately looking for a temporary foster home, where she can offload her litter of puppies! We’re looking for a good temporary home for poor little Molly, who has a bad case of mange. Her hair will grow back, but she needs a place to stay and someone to keep her out of harm’s way in the meantime. If you can help, please give us a call. This is an incredible rescue story. A couple were driving along near the Panorama area on Friday, 1 May when they spotted a terribly unkempt dog at the side of the road. They rescued him and brought him in to DARG. The right family is going to be SUPER lucky when they give us a call to adopt this beautiful baby. Josh is a nine week old Pitbull cross, with very special needs, as he is DEAF. Hey all. Every now and again we need to give our property a once-over to make sure that the environment stays healthy and happy. Rest in Peace little fluffy one. Lion sadly passed away from cancer earlier this month. Everyone please be very careful over the next week or so. Tonight is Halloween, November 5 is Guy Fawkes Night and idiot kids are going to be setting off fireworks all over the show. Please make preparations to lock your animals in at night or otherwise protect them from the noise which they don’t understand. Pick n Pay’s bandanna promotion is on right now, to raise funds to help human leukemia sufferers, which made us think of our cats with feline leukemia (FeLV). Feline leukemia is actually a viral infection, not a cancer! Leo is a magnificent, gentle and loving cat who was recently diagnosed with FIV. This virus affects up to 15% of cats and can be transmitted from mother to kitten, or through bites and scratches. FIV cannot be transmitted to dogs or humans. Herewith a photo of the wonderful addition to our family whom we adopted from you almost 2 years ago. Her name was Dixie, however, we renamed her Brandy at the time as we felt she didn’t respond particularly well to her name. |
