2yr old female Jack Russel. Owner couldn't keep. Playful, affectionate, feisty. Needs exercise and secure property.

Cherry
+-2yr old female Africanis. Cherry's pups have all found loving homes. Now that she has been sterilized she too would love to find her forever family! Cherry is super affectionate and needs a little TLC.

4yr old Collie X. Owner relocated. A little shy at first but very friendly. Well behaved, loves kids, housetrained. Would love to find a home with her "brother" Bat (a 6yr old Lab X).

+-4mth old female Africanis. Affectionate, playful, a little shy at first. Vets suspect she is a Distemper survivor which left her with a "nervous tick". She is otherwise a healthy and happy baby!

+-10mth old female small cross breed (a bit of Jack Russel/Corgi...?). Owners couldn't keep. Playful, affectionate, good with kids, cats, dogs, perfect little pet. BUT, she was kept outside and therefore is not house-trained. She will need a little time to learn... but we promise she is worth it!

Lady Baden Powell
Senior female cross breed. Rescued after a hit and run. After undergoing a leg operation (from which she has made a full recovery), Lady surprised us all by giving birth to 2 pups. Sadly they did not take to her milk and despite our best efforts, they both died within a few hours. Lady was very depressed for a few days but is now better! Volunteers are giving her all the TLC they can but what she really needs is a HOME! A comfy cushion, good food, the occasional wobble around the block is all she wants... but above all, she deserves her own loving FAMILY.

+-2yr old female Chow X Retriever (look alike). Lucy's puppies have all found new homes and now it's her turn! Although she was very protective in the beginning, she is now mellow, friendly and affectionate. She needs TLC and someone to show her how much fun life as a loved pet can be!

Coffee
+-6mth old female Ridgeback. Found emaciated and with mange - unclaimed. Coffee is super friendly and super strong. Needs basic training and lots of exercise. Her hair is growing back slowly, but she would do much better in a home!

Dusty
Smallish male cross breed. Very friendly and affectionate. Playful, alert, good w/ others dogs, cats and kids. Owner couldn't keep. The perfect PET!

Lollie
+-3yr old female Staffie. Owner couldn't keep. Lollie is a "all eye on me" kinda gal and needs to be in a single pet household. She absolute loves children and is just the sweetest wiggliest baby!!

Paddle
+-3yr old male cross breed. Found paddling in the canal at the Waterfront at midnight - never claimed. Very affectionate, loving, alert, protective.

Rocco
SPECIAL NEEDS: (Previously known as Josh) Returned after 4 months. Owners moved over seas... without Rocco! He is now about 6mths old and ridiculously friendly. Rocco is deaf and will need special attention from his new FOREVER family.

Adoption fees have increased

Due to rising costs of sterilization, vaccinations and so on, we’ve been forced to increase the adoption fees we charge in order to cover our costs.

Please remember that what we charge is still cheaper than what you would pay to get sterilization, vaccinations, etc. at a vet.

Plus the money helps towards the upkeep of our other animals.

The new prices are as follows:

R495 per dog – Includes up to date vaccinations (including rabies), deworming, frontline anti-flea spraying, ID tag and sterilization.
R395 per cat – Includes up to date vaccinations (including rabies), deworming, frontline anti-flea spraying, and sterilization.

+-9mth old female Africanis. Sweet, affectionate, a little timid at first. Gretchen is a little lady, loves cuddles and kissed, is fantastic around small children and good with other dogs. Promises to make a loyal companion!

+-1yr old male Africanis. Rescued off the streets, emaciated. Jack is turning out to be a super star! He's gaining weight and confidence. He's loves to play and cuddle, loves sitting on your lap (even though he's just a tad too big), and so far has loved every dog he's met!

Hello!

Jessica, a 15yr old female Pug (black) has just lost her home. She is confused and desperately needs to find a new home.

Despite her age, Jessica is lively, friendly, very cuddly and easy going. She just needs someone willing to provide her with a cosy bed and lots of kisses for the remainder of her days.

If you cannot adopt Jessica yourself, you can still help by speaking to your friends and family.

Roberta is looking for a home where she will be a valued member of her family, where she'll never have to go hungry again and be left in the backyard day and night. She is ready to discover what being a loved pet is all about. "Roro" is sweet, affectionate and adores laps!

Senior male Cocker Spaniel. Owner couldn't keep. Full of life, very affectionate, well mannered, quiet boy. Loves to snuggle up against you!

Young female DLH. Found - not claimed. Farrah is pregnant and will have her babies at DARG. Once her kittens are 8 weeks old they will be homed, Farrah will be spayed and she will then need to loving home where she can rest. She is sweet and not very demanding.

+-6mth old Calico female. A little shy at first. Needs TLC.

+-6mth old Ginger male. Shy at first but quickly relaxes and is always ready for some fun
