BOBTAIL GIVES BACK TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES

Launched in 1985, Bobtail is one of South Africa’s leading and trusted dog food manufacturers. “At Bobtail, we believe in positively contributing towards the physical and psychological welfare of all our canine friends,” says Steven Bedford, Marketing Manager of Foodcorp’s Petcare Division. On Monday, 30^th January 2012, Bobtail donated over 400kg of dog food to DARG (the Domestic Animal Rescue Group), Hout Bay. The non-profit organisation rescues and re-homes abused and abandoned cats and dogs within the Cape Town metropole. Expresso, SABC 3’s morning breakfast show, assisted with the painting of kennels at DARG’s headquarters. “This contribution will assist DARG by plowing funds into basic necessities for our pets, like sterilisation and kennel maintenance,” says Joy Giovanni, DARG’s CEO.

This is a huge expense for DARG. Please be kind and donate a bag or more [...]]]> We, as well as other shelters, have had a huge intake of abandoned cats and dogs lately.  The extra mouths to feed has taken its toll on our food stock.

This is a huge expense for DARG. Please be kind and donate a bag or more of food. Mostly puppy,  small & med size adult, and adult cat (it’s not kitten season so we have no kittens). Tin and/or pellets.
