+-2yr old male Dalmatian. Owner couldn't keep. Friendly, well mannered, socialized. Hopes to find his FOREVER home soon.

+-8wk old female cross breed (Dolly is her mommy). Confident cheeky little girl. Ready to find her FOREVER family. PUPPY CLASSES RECOMMENDED

Dolly
+-2yr old female smallish cross breed. Rescued from a school in Athlone where she was seen being abused by children. A kind lady took her away, as well as Dolly's pups (Dixie and Delta), and brought her to DARG. Dolly is mysteriously missing an eye, but a vet has given her the all clear and Dolly is not bothered by it at all. She is also not traumatized and is super affectionate and full of life. A perfect little lap dog!

Donna
+-1yr old female Africanis. Rescued from Airport Industria, with what seems to be an old burn and a large scar. Vets have given her the all clear and Donna is totally ready to find her new loving family. She is gentle, super affactionate and very wiggly.

Edgar
Young male Pitbull. Found, never claimed. Affectionate character, but super energetic. Needs active owners, maybe joggers? Edgar needs to be in a single pet household. Edgar is an awesome kissing machine and bed surfer!

Farrah
+-3yr old female Africanis. Found in Woodstock covered in ticks and skinny. Farrah is super affectionate but is still very shy. She will need gentle owners willing to slowly introduce her to a better world (full of walkies, treats, toys...). Promises to make a loyal companion.

+-4mth old female Collie X. Affectionate, super playful, very clever girl! Would suit active family, might even enjoy a little agility training!

Jazz
+-2yr old female Lab X Pitbull. Owner couldn't keep. Super affectionate, well mannered, socialized girl. Needs regular exercise.

Lilly
+-2yr old female small cross breed. Owner couldn't keep. Affectionate, active, wiggly little princess! Demanding of attention, cuddles and walkies...

+-5yr old male Maltese X Terrier. Confiscated from neglectful owners. Mickey is mostly hairless and the little hair he has is so matted it looks like dreadlocks. Despite his physical neglect, Mickey is the happiest dog is the world! After a little medical attention, he will be ready to find a new loving family that will treat him with the respect he deserves. Promises to bring much joy into your home.

Neytiri
+-7wk old female cross breed. Neytiri (named after the Avatar character), is the runt and is a much smaller and weaker than her brothers and sister. She needs a foster home where she can regain her strength and simply be spoiled. Neytiri will be up for adoption when DARG staff feels that she is strong enough.

+-18mth old male Maltese X Poodle. Owner couldn't keep. Affectionate little guy, but also rather demanding. Would prefer being a single pet or share his home with a nice little female. Why shouldn't he be treated like the king of the world??

+-2yr old male Africanis. Owner couldn't keep. Paden is a wonderful calm dog. He is housetrained, affectionate, protective and responsive. He is desperate to be part of a family again, this time FOREVER. Would prefer a single pet household.

+-18mth old male Labrador X. Left behind by owners. Calm, gentle boy. Learning all about affection and cuddles and regular meals and treats... Will need patient owners willing to show him how great life can be!

Siena
Look at Siena now! She has gained weight, her wounds have healed and her hair is growing back! She is as lovable as can be, always with a smile on her face. Siena is also friendly with other dogs and children. Deserves nothing the BEST! (Check out Siena's before pics in the "Before&After" album on Facebook)

Twixie
Female Alsation X. We found this poor pup emaciated and abused, and managed to rescue her in the nick of time. We've been feeding her up, and already she is looking much better. She's an incredibly sweet and gentle dog who loves human company as well as other dogs. Twixie needs a foster home for a couple of months to recover fully before she finds her forever home. When she's better, Twix is going to make some lucky family a really outstanding pet.

+-10mth old female small cross breed (a bit of Jack Russel/Corgi...?). Owners couldn't keep. Playful, affectionate, good with kids, cats, dogs, perfect little pet. BUT, she was kept outside and therefore is not house-trained. She will need a little time to learn... but we promise she is worth it!

Lady Baden Powell
Senior female cross breed. Rescued after a hit and run. After undergoing a leg operation (from which she has made a full recovery), Lady surprised us all by giving birth to 2 pups. Sadly they did not take to her milk and despite our best efforts, they both died within a few hours. Lady was very depressed for a few days but is now better! Volunteers are giving her all the TLC they can but what she really needs is a HOME! A comfy cushion, good food, the occasional wobble around the block is all she wants... but above all, she deserves her own loving FAMILY.

+-2yr old female Chow X Retriever (look alike). Lucy's puppies have all found new homes and now it's her turn! Although she was very protective in the beginning, she is now mellow, friendly and affectionate. She needs TLC and someone to show her how much fun life as a loved pet can be!

When stray animals are handed in to DARG, we look after them for fourteen days, hoping their owners will find them and claim them. In order to make the process of finding them a bit easier, we’ve launched the new Stray Gallery.

This gallery will contain the strays we are currently looking after. After fourteen days, we put the strays up for adoption, and they get moved to the regular adoption galleries.

Please try and regularly look at the Stray Gallery to see if there are any animals you know!
