Our Notices web page was intended for the community to use to seek lost animals or advertise found ones. Up until now, we have also allowed people who can no longer keep their animals for whatever reason, to advertise the animals for re-homing. We’re not sure how this happened, but for some reason, The Argus decided they were going to neglect DARG in this year’s ADOPT-A-PET feature that runs on Saturday. They didn’t contact us, and we didn’t know about it until it was too late to do anything about it. The following fantastic, furry, fun, frambunctious (is that even a word?) little doggies have been recently adopted: The DARG website was first updated about a year ago, and with that update, we added many new features and functions to make viewing our animals easier, and also to facilitate communication with us. The following little lovelies are searching for the right family to take them in and provide them with a loving home. Click for details! Wow, those great folks over at the Beginner’s Guide WebTV show have done a really great feature on DARG! Please show them some love by viewing their YouTube stuff and maybe leave a comment or two letting them know what you think of the video. This sweet, delicate, gentle, affectionate, hugable, kissable and quiet beauty is desperately looking for a temporary foster home, where she can offload her litter of puppies! We’re looking for a good temporary home for poor little Molly, who has a bad case of mange. Her hair will grow back, but she needs a place to stay and someone to keep her out of harm’s way in the meantime. If you can help, please give us a call. This is an incredible rescue story. A couple were driving along near the Panorama area on Friday, 1 May when they spotted a terribly unkempt dog at the side of the road. They rescued him and brought him in to DARG. Well, we’ve finally put a link-exchange programme in place. Thank you to all those webmasters who patiently waited for this to happen. Here are the link-exchange details. If you have already submitted your website link in some other format, please read these instructions and then re-submit your site. Massive thanks to Tracey Pace for donating R1500 towards our environmental cleanup. Also huge thanks to Larissa Harmsen and Savio, who donated R500 towards it. People like you keep us up and running and help to keep the animals safe, clean, warm and content while they wait for their new families! You guys rock! These wonderfull little beasties are up for adoption this week. Lots of puppies, but please spare a thought before adopting one to how big they will grow and whether you’ll have the size and energy for a bigger dog. If in doubt, ask your friendly DARG helper! Click for details. |
