I adopted Gus about 7 years ago from DARG, on Valentines day, and he has been by my side ever since. Gus was very weak and ill when I adopted him and we thought he wouldn’t make it… but just look at him now!
He’s fat, healthy and happy. I remember being really worried that I wouldn’t be able to make a decision on which cat to choose, but one of your employees told me not to worry, that the cat would in fact choose me… which is exactly what happened!
I believe he is my guardian angel as he has comforted me during the most difficult times of my life. That day I made a promise to never abandon him like his previous “owners” and have taken him with me on the plane, twice, to Durban where we now live.
